Re: double quotation marks from Word File
Doesn't look bad to me. Word will replace standard quotation marks with some special character for the starting and ending quotation mark. Those funny characters cannot be copied directly apparently....

View ArticleNo Attachements Interface in Theads
I have properly changed the settings for attachements in the admin, but there is nothing in the treads interface which allows me to attach files. I am using 3.4.8a. What am I missing?
View ArticleLogin not working properly in 3.4.8a
I can login, but the login screen only refreshes and stays on the login screen. It does not go to the thread list as it should. How can I fix this?
View ArticleRe: No Attachements Interface in Theads
did you allow a number > 0 of attachments? also for the single forum?
View ArticleRe: Login not working properly in 3.4.8a
if you had a new install you should just install phorum5. otherwise only a couple of debugging will help. I've never seen a problem like that.
View ArticleRe: No Attachements Interface in Theads
Yes, I allow two. I set the size limit to 2000, shwo attachements as "links" I made a directory for saving and gave a path. It does not complain. What else should I do?
View ArticleRe: Login not working properly in 3.4.8a
The client does not like phorum5, so that is not an option. Where should I look to fix the problem?
View ArticleRe: Login not working properly in 3.4.8a
You can better convince your client to use Phorum 5 after all. Phorum 3 is nor maintained, nor supported properly anymore. Especially the maintenance stop is a serious issue, because new security...

did you also allow some extensions? also there are general settings *and* settings for the forum.
View ArticleRe: No Attachements Interface in Theads
Yes, I allow the following extensions gif;jpg;bmp;doc;pdf;php;csv. I do not know what you mean by *and* settings. I used "attachement settings" in the "phorum setup".
View ArticleRe: No Attachements Interface in Theads
there is also a setting for each forum alone. not only the general settings.

you are posting in the phorum3-section but phorum3 is outdated and you should really use phorum5. both version support "moderated posting" though.

Why not install Phorum5 instead? If security is an issue to you, you'll be better of with an application that is maintained than the officially no longer supported and maintained Phorum3. As for...

I think some part of your page is loading common.php for a second time. If you change all include statements that include the common.php script to use include_once("./common.php"), the problem should...
